Description:
Madman Across the Water is Elton John's fourth studio album, released on November 5, 1971, by DJM and Uni Records. This album marked a significant shift in John's musical direction, introducing elements of progressive rock and showcasing a more complex and mature sound. It features nine tracks, all composed by John with lyrics by his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin. Notably, Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman contributed Hammond organ to three songs on the album.
