King Diamond - Halloween - 12” Single Picture Disc - Limited Edition

There are voices in heavy metal that simply cannot be imitated, and King Diamond owns one of them. That glass-shattering falsetto, the theatrical whisper that turns into a shriek, the way he narrates a horror story like a man who has actually been to the other side and come back with receipts. "Halloween" is one of the crown jewels of his early canon, a track that captures everything that made the Dane such a singular force in the genre: grand guignol drama, razor-sharp guitar work, and a chorus that lodges itself in your skull and refuses to leave.

What makes this particular release such a treat is the presentation. The whole thing arrives as a picture disc, and the artwork has been freshly reworked for 2026, giving a familiar classic a striking new face. Spinning a picture disc is its own ritual, a little piece of vinyl culture that feels like holding a framed painting that happens to play music. The pressing is limited to 1000 copies, so this is one of those items that tends to vanish from shelves faster than anyone expects. If you grew up tape-trading Mercyful Fate bootlegs or discovered the King through a scratched-up CD passed around a rehearsal room, you already know the pull of this material. And if you are only now getting acquainted, this is a fine place to start your descent.
